Supporting the growth of a global women+ well-being community through content, social media and community engagement.

Project

Umaversity is a global community and platform focused on women+ well-being. Through both online and offline events, the platform connects women+ with accessible and professional expertise in areas such as mental health, personal development and holistic well-being. With a network of 100+ experts worldwide, Umaversity has grown into one of the largest knowledge platforms dedicated to women+ well-being.

challenge

As a community-driven platform focused on women+ well-being, it was important for Umaversity not only to communicate its mission, but also to build trust and show the real people, experts and energy behind the platform.

The challenge was to make the work behind Umaversity visible while inspiring women+ to actively participate in the community and join both online and offline events.

This required consistent and authentic content that could capture the atmosphere of the community, highlight the expertise within the platform and encourage engagement across social media and other communication channels.

Approach

Working closely with founder Jo Sarah, I supported Umaversity in strengthening its digital presence through a combination of content production, social media management and community support.

My approach focused on consistently documenting the community through visual storytelling, while helping build a structured and recognizable online presence across platforms.

As the platform expanded, my role evolved to support additional initiatives such as podcast production, LinkedIn presence and the development of the Umaversity community within the Heartbeat app.

Execution

Since 2023, I have supported Umaversity across multiple areas as the platform continued to grow.

​

This included managing social media content, creating short-form videos and capturing events through photography and videography. Together with my team, Dasha and Rosanne, we produced visual content such as event coverage and aftermovies.

​

I also supported the filming of the Umaversity podcast, assisted with setting up the LinkedIn presence, and helped with outreach initiatives.

​

As Umaversity launched its community platform on Heartbeat, I contributed as a community manager, helping facilitate interaction and engagement within the growing community.

outcome

The content strategy helped increase visibility around Umaversity’s mission and successfully encouraged women+ to participate in both online and offline events.
 

The strong engagement and positive reactions from attendees also reflected in the event after movies, show how the content helped capture and share the true energy of the Umaversity community.
